The FGCCC was Founded in 1979 as the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of the Arab Gulf States (FAGCC) and renamed in 1990 the Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC).
Its overall mission is to facilitate and serve the vision of the GCC through three key objectives.
• Realization of GCC economic integration as a prerequisite of balanced and sustained development of the GCC as a whole and its individual member states.
• Representation of the GCC private sector in Arab, regional and international forums giving support to the active role of GCC businessmen in developing their economies.
• Consolidation of the role of member chambers, councils and federations as representatives of the business community and private sector in their respective countries
